Planetarium


The planetarium, a space of exceptional non-formal education, offers several sessions in the dome that approaches, in an interdisciplinary way, Astronomy and Science contexts, with appropriate languages for a wide age and schooling range of its public.

The digital planetarium of the Department of Natural sciences (DCNAT- UFSJ), in partnership with LIFE, has last-generation equipments and accessories that allow the development of diversified didactic activities aimed for cultural entertainment, scientific education of the school community, and awakening the students’ interest in the area of exact sciences.

In addition to schools and other educational instituições, all the community can participate in the visit to the planetarium, where films are shown and the sky is simulated from any point of Earth and on any date in the past, present or future.
