Nucleus for Entrepreneurship and Technological Innovation
NETEC is UFSJ's Nucleus for Entrepreneurship and Technological Innovation. It is linked to the Office of Research and Graduate Studies (PROPE). It is subdivided into the sectors of Intellectual Property and the Incubator for Technological Development and Traditional Sectors of Campo das Vertentes - INDETEC. NETEC's role is to foster the culture of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Intellectual Property and to strengthen the relationship between the University and Companies. There are 10 Research, Development and Innovation Partnership Agreements with the productive sector, 175 patents filed, 23 granted and 1 licensed. It promotes events such as UFSJ DEMODAY, an institutional Pitch competition with teams formed in the Entrepreneurship academic units from all campuses. UFSJ research groups have been able to participate in pre-acceleration programs for startups with technological solutions from UFSJ and with several awards. Currently the 5 campuses of UFSJ are receiving the VUEI 2 program (University Experience for Entrepreneurship and Innovation), with scholarship recipients and actions aimed at helping our academic community transform ideas into business models. INDETEC has 10 incubated companies in the areas covered by UFSJ.
