Dom Bosco Campus

Located in the Fábricas neighborhood, the Dom Bosco Campus had its beginnings in 1940, with the foundation of Colégio São João, run by the Salesian religious who settled in the city. Later, in 1987, the Campus was acquired by the Education Ministry.
Since then, several adaptations have been made to the main building, and also other buildings were constructed to meet the institutional needs. Among them are the library, which houses an amphitheater and a climatized room to keep rare works safe, and the buildings of the Departments of Natural Sciences (Dcnat), Medicine (Demed), and Biosystems (Depeb).
At this campus, it is installed the Office of Research and Graduate Studies (Prope), as well as the undergraduate courses in Modern Languages (Portuguese and English), Psychology, Chemistry, Philosophy, Pedagogy, History, Biological Sciences, Medicine, and Biotechnology.
